White truffle (Tuber Magnatum Pico) is one of the most valuable and expensive mushrooms in the world. It is usually of irregular round shape with smaller or bigger bumps which depends on the type of soil where it grows as well as on the type of its symbiotic plant. The cross section reveals various shades of pink flesh with spidery white veins webbing around while the outside is smooth, yellow to white or greenish.
